Chiquimula’s cathedral: a Baroque temple built between 1776 and 1796, elevated to sanctuary in 1991. It keeps the images of Our Lady of the Transit, the Virgin of Sorrows, Saint Anthony and Saint Joseph; its feast is August 15.
