Useful traveler info
You can reach it from Antigua or the capital to Panajachel (~3 hours). Between towns, you travel by public boat from the docks: Q15–30 per trip, departing from 6:00 AM, with the last ones to San Pedro/San Juan around 5:30 PM — confirm the last boat back. Bring cash in quetzals, sunscreen, and a windbreaker for the lake (the 'Xocomil') in the afternoons.
